The year was 2007, and I was an intern at AlmapBBDO, one of Brazil’s hottest agencies. A creative director was crazy enough to hand me and my partner a TV brief for one of the most popular beers, starring one of the most popular actresses. The result was my first national TV spot, which my mom got to watch multiple times back in my hometown. The low-res video above is a sweet reminder of a time when I truly felt I had chosen the right career and that anything would be possible.

 

Undeniable proof that I come from Brazil’s rodeo capital

Currently working as VP, Associate Creative Director at FCB Health New York, I started my career in the 2000s when the big deal for a Brazilian copywriter was to come up with catchy headlines. Since then, the world and the industry have changed a lot—and I've been doing my best to keep up with both. Over the past 15+ years, I've made my way across the globe from Brazil to Europe to the U.S., joining some of the most creative agencies across multiple disciplines along the journey, such as FCB, AlmapBBDO, Publicis, Africa, J. Walter Thompson, and BBDO Moscow.

Awards, shortlists, publications, and all the things we very humbly like to brag about include The One Show, Clio Awards, Clio Health, Art Directors Club, New York Festivals, Communication Arts, Lürzer’s Archive, Campaign US BIG Awards, Anthem, ANA Multicultural Excellence Awards, MM+M, and Creative Floor.

Outside the ad world, my work has somehow made its way into the permanent collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and Poster House in New York.
